Up to the Thumb Area for MARFC Night at Silver Bullet Speedway 2015!

silverbullettweb1silverbulletweb2Great Night for more dirt track racing at the Silver Bullet Speedway who celebrated their 60th Anniversary that evening. Long time second generation driver Late Model # 10 Dana Truemner was presented our MARFC Uniform/ Helmet Bag for his family supporting the track for over 30 years. New MARFC member Martin McSkulin won our members raffle for the night. Special thanks to Nick & Matt Hoonhout and all the folks at the speedway for making this event possible. MARFC Ventures West to the Winston Speedway for 2015!

winston web 1winstona web 2MARFC Vice President Dave DeHem along with his wife Julie were on hand to greet members as they came into the Winston Speedway.  Our MARFC Uniform/ Helmet bag went to Evan Shotko #22 fifth in points for his rookie year in Bomber Division. He had run Go karts 3 years comes from racing family. Wayne Rol won our MARFC members raffle. Many thanks to Tom Sprague and crew for having us back again this season. MARFC Events for this weekend!

Attention all MARFC Members be sure to come on out and enjoy this weekend’s MARFC Fan Club Day Events on both Friday July 31st at the Winston Speedway on the west side of the state and then on August 1st we will be at the Silver Bullet Speedway in the thumb area. So take the time to see more of our state best racing facilities this weekend and support our sport of auto racing right here in our great state of Michigan. MARFC Goes Road Racing at Waterford Hills!

waterfordwebOur MARFC Helmet bag was awarded to driver David Nikolas by the Grand Marshal for the weekend, Australian racing legend Allan Moffat. Allan won a race at Waterford Hills in 1965 driving a Lotus Cortina before embarking on a long career in Trans Am, LeMans and a variety of racing series “down under” Thanks to Joel Hershoren and Kathy Arnold for their hospitality in welcoming our club at their beautiful facility. Many thanks to board member Rand Thompson for chairing this event!(Photo by Rand Thompson: Left to Right: David Nikolas, Rand, Allan Moffat, and Waterford Hills vintage event chair Joel Hershoren.)
