Thoughts & Prayers Needed!

Two of our most long and loyal former board members are in need of our thoughts & prayers at this time. Bill Palmer has been under the weather for some time now and had taken a fall a little while back and could use some cheering up. I think a few cards would do the trick to bring his spirits back.  Also, we have just learned the Arlene Stone wife of past President Bill Stone has had a stroke a few months back and is not able to be at home with Bill who has been home bond with a long term illness himself. Please keep all these folks in your prayers as they have a long road ahead of them. Cards can be sent to: Bill Palmer and Bill & Arlene Stone in care of MARFC P.O. Box 66436, Roseville, MI 48066 and will see they receive them ASAP.

MARFC goes Road Racing at Waterford Hills!

Waterfordweb1jpgIt was a great afternoon of racing for MARFC members at Waterford Hills Raceway in Clarkston, Mich.  Competing on the picturesque 13 turn mile and a half road course were a great variety of vintage racers. The MARFC Helmet Bag was awarded to driver Vytas Svedas from Dundas, Ontario, Canada who races a 1966 Alfa Romeo Guilia.  Thanks to Joel Hershoren, Kathy Arnold, and the rest of the Waterford Hills staff for welcoming MARFC to this beautiful facility for a fun afternoon of racing.Pictured is with Rand Thompson, Vytas, and Sue Ginter and also a picture of his cool red No. 23 Alfa.Waterfordweb2

I-96 Speedway Hosts MARFC Fans in 2014!

i-96web1i-96web2Great night for racing at the newly reconfigured 3/8 mile I-96 Speedway. Many members were on hand to see our MARFC Uniform/Helmet Bag be presented to Street Stock # 67 driver Carlind Forsythe by MARFC VP Dave DeHem. Carlind does an outstanding job supporting his division and the speedway. MARFC raffle winner was Linda Hurd with table helpers Greg Shepard & Jeff Mitchell on hand. Thank You to Mike & Sarah Mouch along with the entire staff for hosting us again this season and to Trevor Hollis for the great PR all night long.
