History
The Michigan Automobile Racing Fan Club was established on Sept. 25, 1965, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It's mission is "the Betterment and Benefit of Auto Racing and Those Engaged Therein".
For nearly 60 years, the MARFC has been a staple in Michigan Motorsports, partnering with Tracks across the state to connect Michiganders to the sport we love.
Every year, the MARFC uses it membership and partners within the Motorsports Community to promote our sport to the next generation of fans, and recognize those whose contributions make local short track racing possible: from handing out Hot Wheels to young fans at Track Days, to honoring Track Champions for every division statewide at our annual banquet.
Starting in 1968, MARFC's annual banquet has recognized track champions, journalist, track operators, officials, mechanics, and fans for their contributions throughout the previous year and beyond. Some of our annual awards include the President's Awards, the Vito LoPiccolo Award, Eddie Sachs Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award, plus Promoter, Mechanic, and Fan of the Year.
The names recognized at our annual banquet read like a Motorsports Hall-of-Fame: Fred Agabashian, Gordon Johncock, Benny Parsons, Bob Senneker, Shirley Muldowney, Pancho Carter, Chris Economaki, Ken Schrader, Doug Kalitta, Ryan Newman, and Brad Keselowski just to name a few.
In addition to our annual Banquet, MARFC "Fan Days" serve to promote the organization, its mission, and efforts at each member tracks throughout the racing season. Activities include 50/50 raffles and Hot Wheels Giveaways for the youngest fans.
Membership
The Michigan Automobile Racing Fan Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that is 100% membership-led, and fueled by donations. Our Membership includes Tracks, Sanctioning Bodies, and just everyday folks with a passion for racing. The Current MARFC Board of Directors are:

Club meetings are held monthly October through April and feature guest speakers, tours of racing facilities, a benefit bowling tournament and other fun activities including Free Admission to Fan Club days at Member Tracks.
The cost of annual membership dues is $20.00 for single person, or $25.00 for a couple or family (2 adults and all children up to age of fifteen). Payment of dues entitles you to a membership card, window decal, and a monthly newsletter.
