AUTO CITY SPEEDWAY MARFC EVENT CANCEL DUE TO POWER OUTAGES!

Hey Folks, Just heard from Joe DeWitte at Auto City Speedway that he is forced to CANCEL racing at his facility on Saturday August 14th due to downed power lines all around the speedway. It will take most of the weekend and early next week to get thing up and running again. With that he has graciously offered to reschedule our event for next Saturday August 21, 2021. It will be a extra added show as he will be combining both this weekends TRUCK MADNESS SHOW with his regular racing that evening. So mark it down and THANKS to Joe & Sharon for the quick turnaround in rescheduling.

MARFC Returns to the Dirt at Silver Bullet Speedway in 2021!

Beautiful night then Mother Nature stepped in to slow the night down with more than an hour delay in the program. Modified #50 driver Chad Bennett was presented out MARFC/Uniform Helmet Bag. It was a tough night for Chad and his family as his 14-year-old son Austin earlier in the week was involved in an accident and is now paralyzed from the waist down and is being sent to Grand Rapids for further treatment. It was Austin who told his dad & Brother Chad Jr. to go racing as he didn’t want to be the reason for them missing any racing. One strong willed boy there and he as already said he will walk again. What confidence this young man has. Our prayers are with the Bennett family. MARFC raffle winner was Harold Sampier, and our table volunteers were David Howe, Spencer Nelson and myself. Many thanks to Matt Hoonhout and the Silver Bullet Speedway staff for having us back this season. The Speedway was also presented with 2020 Promoter of the Year Award the only award that was voted on for our banquet back in October of 2020 before we had to cancel it due to COVID-19. Waterford Hills Raceway Welcomes MARFC in 2021!

Update provided by PR Director Rand Thompson! Great day at Waterford Hills Vintage Road Racing today.  The staff and racers were very friendly and accommodating, the track looked spectacular, and the weather was outstanding. Present from the MARFC Board were John Jackson, David Howe, Nancy May, and Rand Thompson. The MARFC Uniform/helmet bag was awarded to Garett Dunn from Commerce Township, Mich. who was racing a 1973 Corvette owned by Tim Morgan. Very cool car and Garret drove it to perfection.  Interestingly, Tim was a former driver in Tri Sac Supermodifieds. The Dunn family has been a part of Waterford Hills since the track was built in 1958. Garret’s grandfather was one of the founding members of the track and his dad was a fixture in the pits for decades providing welding services to the competitors. Sadly, both passed away in the last year or so. Garret was very appreciative of the bag and thanked us all for it. Thanks to the folks at Waterford Hills for again hosting our MARFC event. MARFC at Thunderbird Raceway for 2021!

For the second night in a row, Mother Nature cut us a break with the rain. It rained all around Thunderbird Raceway, but they got in a full night of exciting dirt track racing for the MARFC fan club night at Thunderbird Raceway at Muskegon. Our MARFC/Uniform Helmet Bag was presented to Pro Late Model # 62 Dan Wildfong for sportsmanship to others at the raceway. Some really great action on the track on that beautiful July evening. Check out the crazy orange and white checked shorts on announcer Jeremy. Many thanks to Tom Sprague and all his crew for the hospitality that evening. David Howe & John Jackson on hand to great members at our MARFC table. Once again update provided by VP John Jackson.
