Auto City Fan Club Night – August 6, 2005

Mother Nature had the night off and racing was outstanding.  MARFC had a lot of things going on during this night of racing.

First our MARFC bag was given to Factory Stock driver # 25 Dave Christenson (right).

Then we presented the track with a special 50th Anniversery plaque and Sharon Fisher accepted on behalf of owner Joe DeWitte who was in a drivers meeting at the time of the presentation (left).

Also the club honored long time friend and one of the great race fans to racers and fans alike Doug Long with a special apperication award.

Keep up the good work Doug! Many thanks to Joe DeWitte and Greg yost for all the support and the invite to make up our rain date at their great racing facility. Helpers for the night were Sue Ginter, Larry & Sue Iacoboni, Fran Russo, and Tony Russo.

Kinross Speedway Fan Club Days – August 5, 2005

Board member Bill Walters along with his wife Linda made the annual trek up to the ¼ mile bull ring in the U.P.

The weather was great and so was the racing. Our MARFC Uniform/Helmet bag was given to Deon Berlin, also know by everyone as SQUEAK.  Don is a long time track worker who is always there and has been for many years and does what ever it takes to get the track ready for racing.

Special thanks to Todd & Donna Nyberg for having us again this year and to Gerry Liscumb for making it all possible. Thanks to Walt & Patty Moore for stopping by to say Hi.

MOTHER NATURE WINS AGAIN! Our MARFC Fan Club Day at Kalamazoo has been cancelled.  No word yet on a rain date, so keep checking our site.

We here at MARFC send our deepest sympathies to the family of Rudy Corsini who was killed in an accident at the Butler Motor Speedway last Saturday night. Our prayers go out to his family and friends at this time. Also, the club lost another long time member last month. R. Dale passed away & we send our thoughts and prayers to his family at this time. We wish them both God’s Speed!

If you didn’t attend our 2nd Annual MARFC Family Picnic you missed out big time. We had lots of food with games and tons of prizes for all. Special thanks to everyone who brought a dish to pass and the extra prizes donated for the event.

Be sure to make plans on attending next years picnic I am sure it will be bigger and better than this years.

As Always Keep Racing,

Bill Barnhart

President MARFC
