The rained out Fan Club Day at the Merritt Speedway has been re-scheduled for Saturday August 8, 2009. Many Thanks to Rod Ancel and the staff at Merritt for fitting the club in this year. We very much appreciate it and hope that our members can make it out for a great night of racing.

Due to the all night and morning rains, our Fan Club Night at the Merritt Speedway has been cancelled. We are Sorry!
A rain date has not been scheduled at this time.
Remember that next Friday, July 31, is Fan Club Night at the Winston Speedway.

All of us at the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club extend our condolences to the family of Ed Knakiewicz and are saddened by his passing on Thursday July 23rd, 2009. Ed was not only a long time MARFC member and supporter but also served many years as an ARCA Official at both the Toledo and Flat Rock Speedways as well as other ARCA events that included Spartan, Mt. Clemens, Baer Field, Tri County, Talladega, and Daytona. Ed and his wife Cathy are mainstays at the Flat rock and Toledo Speedways. God speed Ed, you are now racing with the best.
We at MARFC are saddened to hear of he passing of “Wild Bill” Barnhart’s mother, Shirley McCormick, on Sunday evening.
The thoughts and prayers of the MARFC family are with Wild Bill, his family, and friends at this time.
