Happy 4th of July from MARFC!

As we head into a holiday weekend and with all that is going on in our country and around the world we truly need to understand what the 4th of July is all about. It is about the independence we fought for so hard some 244 years ago. It was about our forefathers who made it possible to enjoy the all the freedoms we currently have today and for all those who fight to keep them now and into the future. So, celebrate the 4th of July with your family & friends and give thanks for our freedoms. Keep Safe and Keep Racing forward. “May the Good Lord Bless” and Keep all of America Safe during these turbulent times!

To all the Father’s out there we here at MARFC are wishing you all the Greatest of Father’s Day. Here is to all of you who will be with your families and enjoy this great day. For the many Dad’s who can’t be with family in today’s world we all need to give them a call or video chat with them and tell them that they have always been the greatest Dad for all they have done for you. From changing diapers, learning how to ride your bike, pushing you to do your best in school, learning and enjoying in our sport of racing and the best of all just being there when we needed him. So, cherish the time you have with him now and always! For those who’s father’s have taken the final checkered flag of live, remember those times you had with him and always take time to do that throughout the year. “God Bless to you All and enjoy the day!

Longtime Member Larry Kast Passes away!

Longtime member and former MARFC Board member Larry Kast has passed away. Larry crossed life’s final finish line on June 11, 2020, he was 79 years old. Larry and his wife Ann have always been active members with supporting our club wherever and whenever possible. You could always fine both Ann & Larry working in the pit area with Ann in the upper suits security and Larry running the in and out opening at the center where the cars came in & out from the garage area at Michigan International Speedway for 37 years. Always fun to chat with them there as well as at our regular meetings during the year. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Ann and the entire Kast family. Just knowing the Larry is now in better hands with help with the healing. Until we meet again my friend “Rest Well & God Bless”

Racing Legend & Longtime MARFC Member Passes Away!

The Lord waved life’s final checkered flag on our longtime friend and MARFC member & Michigan Motor Sports Hall of Famer Jay Woolworth. Jay was one of the most beloved racers in the state of Michigan. Always with a handout to say Hi. Helping anyone at any time who needed it and mentoring many youngsters over many years. He worked extremely hard to help make MARFC membership grow for many years. Jay was one of the first members who made a point of introducing himself to me when I first became president over 20 years ago. He always said if there was anything, he could do to help the club just let him know. I will deeply miss him not only as a club member but a cherished friend, our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Woolworth family. May the many blessings of fond memories of Jay always be with us all. Until we all meet again Rest Well My Friend.
