MARFC Sends Out A Very “Merry Christmas” 2020!

This year has truly been a tough one for all of us in the racing world as well as the rest of the world. Even with that we would like to send out a very heart filled “MERRY CHRISTMAS” to all our members and their families. We hope that Santa can still bring all the goodies for the kid’s both young and old on Christmas morning. Even though things are still trying we hope that you are enjoy the holiday with loved ones. Those who cannot be with their families please do what you can to talk to them and let them know that family is everything during this holiday season. May the good “Lord” Bless & Keep you all on his special day as he is the reason for the season. Once again have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

MARFC Sends A Happy Thanksgiving to All Members!

We here at MARFC wish to send out a Very Happy Thanksgiving to all our members and their families. Knowing this virus thing is still in play I hope that all will enjoy the day with family and friends and continue to be safe now and into the future. Also, remember that today is a day to give thanks for all we have received if life so far and to give thanks for what the future may hold for all of us.

MARFC November 14, 2020 Meeting Cancelled!

Howdy Folks, Sorry, to say that because of the increase in this COVID thing in the Jackson area the yellow flag was being used. But, now the RED Flag is out on our general meeting for November 14, 2020 and is cancelled. Please pass this along to folks you know who don’t have e-mail address for us to contact. The folks are the Road House Grill & Bar have graciously aloud us to move our meeting to FEBRUARY 20, 2021 with the same location and start time along with Marty Blume as our guest speaker for the evening. Be sure to mark it down on your schedules for 2021! So stay tuned and we will try to get a fresh start in February. Hope to see you all soon! Stay Safe! Thanks for your understanding! Report on MARFC October 2020 General Meeting!

A big thanks to all who came out and supported our club with safe and social distancing for all concern. Thanks for the staff at Dooley’s Tavern in Shelby for having us and working to make our meeting a safe and secure one. Our first guest speaker for the night was Andrew Bogusz 2019 Rookie Junior Racer of the Year Award winner who let us know how his 2020 racing season went after getting a late start because of the COVID restrictions. Andrew also had his car on display. Then Matt Hoonhout owner & promotor of the Silver Bullet Speedway informed all on how they have one of their best years because on the COVID restrictions closing most all of the entertainment in the thumb area of Michigan. Matt said when he could open his facility about six weeks late many new fans came in and with hopes they will return next season. He also told us of all the new changes coming for the speedway in 2021 and hopes his fan and car counts continue to grow. We also, want to thank Eddie Sachs Racing along with Fast Time Motorsports for the donation of food & soft drinks for our members and setting up our meeting at Dooley’s for the evening. We had Larry LaMay being there and donating one of his autographed second edition racing books as our inhouse raffle prize and the winner was Matt Hoonhout. Our annual raffle prize winners were drawn with the winners being for 1ST Prize Dick Lee of Grand Rapids, MI, & 2nd Prize to Betty Sokol of Venice, Fl. And 3rd Prize going to Emily Wiggins of Shepherd, MI. Congratulations to all our winners and many thanks to all who supported our club with the sales and purchase of annual fund-raiser raffle tickets. Once again to Moran & Moran Automotive Group and Versalift Midwest we greatly appreciate all your continued support! Then our 50/50 winner Eric Fitzpatrick donated his winnings back to the club to help support the 2021 Children’s Christmas Party. Thanks Eric!
