President’s Desk – July 5, 2005

As we celebrate our country’s 229th Birthday during the month of July we must take a moment to give thanks to all those who are working hard to keep us free just as they did many many years ago. Remember all the men & women who are still doing their job today and pray they all come home safely.

We are at the half way point of our racing season and it just seems like we just got started a few day ago. As fans we should take the time to thank all the racers and track owners for taking the time and money to keep our sport going through out the 2005 season. Without their ambition and commitment we would be have no racing here in Michigan. So as race fans we thank all of them for all they do.

Remember to play our Trivia game and win some great prizes. Also there is our membership contest with the current member who signs up the most new members for 2005 will win a MARFC Prize package and their 2006 membership.

As Always Keep Racing,

Bill Barnhart

President MARFC

More Fan Club Days!!

More Fan Club Days!

This just in…Ron & Sandy Varney owners & Promoters of the ASA Late Model Series are offering club members 2 additional fan club day events:

–Calhoun County Speedway on Saturday July 2, 2005 for the Snap-on Tools 100 presented by Lane Automotive.

–The ASA Late Model show at I.R.P. on July 30th, 2005.  Club members will need to go to the pit gate window to pick up a hard ticket to get in. This will only allow you into the grandstands and not into the pit area.

Thank You Ron & Sandy for these great events that you have graciously given our members. So I say go out and support the ASA Late Models and our club and have a great time.

Galesburg Fan Club Day – June 11, 2005

Galesburg Speedway Fan Club Day

Great field of cars on hand for our first fan club night at the speedway. MOM Nature tried but just could stop Ralph Warning a crew from giving all the fans a night of racing. Our MARFC/Uniform Helmet Bag was presented to a veteran of 25 years of the speedway Alan Reaume. Alan has run in just about every division there is at Galesburg. Thanks again to Ralph and his staffs for having us come into their great racing facility.

Special thanks to Board member Jeff Moroni along with Doug Jakeway & Denny Trinklen for helping out at our MARFC table.

Dixie Fan Club Day – June 10, 2005

Dixie Motor Speedway Fan Club Day

Mother Nature tried to stop us from having a night of racing. But Mike & Krista Kerns pushed forward and raced all the events. Great job to both of you. Modified driver # 6 Don Morse was presented the MARFC Uniform/Helmet bag for his many years of racing and only missed one show in those many years. Great way to show your support of your home track.

Special thanks to Larry Loynes for all his words to help promote our club during the evening. Looking forward to returning again next season. Thanks again to the Kerns for having us. Thanks to Kenny & Larry Letts and our VP Larry Iacoboni for all the assistance during the evening.
