We are very saddened by the news that one of our club founders has taken her final checkered flag in life. Marion Flokstra wife of Willis Flokstra passed away this afternoon and is now in the arms of the Lord. Willis & Marion were married for nearly 60 years and were the last two of our clubs founders that started nearly 52 years ago. Marion had been in poor health these last several years and unable to attend our 50th Anniversary Banquet but she was with us in spirit at that time. Our thoughts & prayers are with Willis and his family at this time. “God’s Speed Marion & we’ll see you on the other side someday!

Funeral services to honor Marian will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St., S.W., Grandville, Michigan. Marian’s family will meet with friends and relatives from 12 p.m. until the time of services in the Chapel. Interment will be in Kent Memorial Gardens. Marian’s family would like to express their deepest thanks to the caring management and staff of Providence Health Care and Rehabilitation Center of Zeeland and Heartland Hospice of Holland for the care and attention she received.
