MARFC head North to Kinross & Onaway!

Friday and Saturday, August 5th and 6th took the club on a “Northern Swing” with a trip to the Kinross Speedpark in Sault Ste. Marie and our first ever visit to the Onaway Speedway in Onaway. Club member Nancy Rathbun took care of both of these events with former long time Board Member Laura Tucker and new club members Robert and Linda Dickey adding additional help.

The MARFC helmet bag was presented to Patti Clement, driver of the #4 four cylinder while the winner of the MARFC Member raffle was Gordon Wallace.

Onaway Speedway “The Northern Swing Day 2” The very next night at Jim & Krista Dubois’ Onaway Speedway, Paul Anderson, driver of the # 35 Street Stock was given the MARFC Helmet Bag while pit gate steward and club member Eldon McMillan won our membership raffle prize. I am sorry to have missed the night but our members that were in attendance were treated to some fantastic racing and had a blast at this gem of  a race track tucked away in Michigan’s vacation capital.
