Well here we are 2006! I sure hope everyone got everything they asked Santa for Christmas. It is hard to believe that another year has just gone by and it’s only a little more than a month away before they’ll be running at Daytona. The only resolution that I made is to hope & pray that we all have a safe 2006 racing season and great weather to make racers, promoters, and race fans happy. Just can’t wait to hear & smell that first car fire up and take to the track.
I’d like to take a moment to say Thank You to all of those who have given of their time to help me keep this club growing and running in the forward direction. There are so many to thank that it is hard to list them all so I’ll just say Thank You to all of you for all that you have done for me and the club this past year and look forward to working together again in 2006.
Your 2006 membership renewal is due NOW so don’t waste anytime and get yours in ASAP as the postage rates are going up on January 8, 2006. Once again if you all can take the time and send me an e-mail at president@marfc.org with your current e-mail address so I can update and send out your monthly newsletter and other information and save on postage Please just let me now if you prefer e-mail only. I thank those of you who have already contacted me to helping us out.
Remember this is your last chance to get your tickets to the 40th Annual MARFC Banquet. Once again to be held on January 21, 2006 at the Imperial House Banquet Hall located in Clinton Township, Mi. There will be NO TICKETS SOLD AT THE DOOR. Contact me ASAP to get them sent out to you on time.

December Meeting
With well over 130 kids and adults on hand the Children’s Annual Christmas Party was outstanding. Each child received a gift from Santa a well as a goody bag and each won a door prize to boot. “Bubbles” the clown was on hand and made each child a special hand made balloon animal and then put on a great magic show with some of the kid’s as helpers. We also saw the return of our own “Willie” the clown who greeted everyone as the came in the door. All who attended the party were treated to a great lunch before Santa arrived.
